RTW servicing on a F650 GS, currently in Malaysia

Hi,

I'm on a RTW trip and currently in Malaysia, where I'll service the bike for my onwards journey to Indonesia/Australia (2005 GS Dakar). I've got a couple of question which I hope someone here can help me out with:

- I need a new centre stand as the old one is bent & the lefthand side sometimes touches ground when cornering (left corners). Which side-stand can you recommend? Touratech? SW-Motech? Does BMW do one for the Dakar?
Only thing that's important to me: as much ground-clearance as possible.

- Is it worthwhile to change fork-oil after 30000 km? The bike's front is a bit wobbly, probably because of the heavy luggage on the back (about 70kg).

- Apart from the normal service (check valve clearances, change oil & filters,...): What else would you recommend I should do as a "20000 miles round the world service"? Clean the throttle body? New fuel filter (I had a few months of low quality/leaded fuel)? Anything else?

Thanks a lot!
Bjorn

Why not have someone modify the center stand you have? It's probably scraping because the suspension is not set up for the insane amount of luggage you are carrying.

Changing the fluids is always a good idea.

The centre stand was bent & needed welding a little near the mount. Had it done today & happy now. (The 'insane' amount of luggage is the equivalent of a pillion by the way... and I only weigh 70kg anyway).
