Which Heidanau k60 tyres?
For a BMW f650 Dakar. I know the size but there seems to be different codes & speeds available and an M&S???
|
I asked the same thing last year, and all I could get out of the Heidenau information line was M&S stands for Mud and Snow. I have no idea what difference that makes, but I decided to opt for that tyre since I was the most expensive and therefore likely the longest lasting.
I've had them on my F800 for 4000 miles and reckon they're about half way worn - an 80:20 mix of road and off road. As for speed rating, by law I think you have to get a rating at least as high as your bike is capable of. I went for the T speed rating as that is good for about 120mph - as much as the F's will do. |
Forget the M&S if you're not going to do a lot of winter riding on it. Then go for the cheapest with a high enough speed index.
That's what I'd do anyway  |
HAIDENAU K60
They have size from 120/80-17 to 140/80-17 speed rating H or T prices are +/- 4€ difference. That M+S only show that it's also available for winter compound if need it. M+S base is also for studs. :scooter: Any how it's really nice and long lasting tyre. :thumbup1: |

If the M&S wear faster than the others, they must be made of nylon! |
