I'd ridden from Bilbao to almeria and then took the ferry to milia, (a small Spanish enclave on mainland Africa) on crossing the border my ttr spluttered and cut out, a small hole in the rubber joiner between the carb and the airbox. An empty coke can and some gaffa tape completed a great bodge that has lasted ten years. I even have a spare to fit now but can't bear to ruin a wonderful bodge.:scooter:

Once had a front foot peg bracket snap, the only thing I had on me was a spare clutch cable repair kit so I used the cable as wire to tie the peg to the subframe. Worked pretty well for the few hundred miles I needed to do.
