1995 Dr 350

I have a 1995 Dr 350, i need some sort of luggage system to carry things.

I just have the two small aluminium tubes running parallel to the rear seat, was wondering what cheap options i have to carry things. I dont want to spend too much as the bike was relatively cheap.

A pannier is going to touch the exhaust and I haven’t found a heart shield, there are some soft trail bags but ideally i think i would need a base attached to the bike so that i can remove the tail bag easily.

Anyways what options are out there, anything considered - thanks in advance.

My 1991 DR350 in the Atlas Mountains. I used Giant Loop Coyote throw over panniers. They came with a heat shield for the exhaust, which you can also buy separately.
I also fitted a rack, on which I attached another bag.

I used to have the same bike, and i really loved it!
I had cheap soft panniers from a local shop here in town.
In order to get the pannier and the side cover away from the exhaust i put several layer of aluminum foil inside the side cover and hooked the pannier with a strap so it woulnd`t hang towards the exhaust.

The "system" survived severals bumps on a 4 week Iceland Trip, so i guess it works.

A more professional way would be to weld some nuts to the exhaust and fabricate a bolt on head shield.

Best Regards
Michael

Look at the Tusk bags from Rocky Mountain. We love them
