Draggin jeans K-pant-user reviews?
 

Just wondering if anybody has a pair of the Draggin K-pants?

If you have anything to offer regarding fit, comfort, performance in an off etc
that would be much appreciated.

I notice the U.S version is different to the Australian version of the product.(or are they completely different products?)
In the U.S the product is called Draggin liners and are yellow
In Oz they are called K-pants and are grey.

hi real bier i ve not worn draggin jeans but there's a make called hood jeans hand made not to fancy but better for protection about £100

I was thinking of getting the K-pants because I can wear them under any pair of jeans.

Anyway thanks for the tip, draggin are a lot more pricey.

James, she (ms Socks) sent in her best regular fitting jeans to Hoods (for riding her bike) and they built a pair based on those for her, loves um she does, and looks good! Wouldent wear them casual unless with the bike unless it realy cold out there. (the extra material keeps her warm)

Till you posted the above I had forgotten I had draggin, They are ok but only that, I'm thinkin that the style/cut is more well lets say harley rider doh did I saY THAT:nono:
fortunatly never tested either of them along the ground.

Are these what you're taking about? Armoured underwear? I've not serb them, but I like the concept, hope if you get some you'll let us know. I like the thought of bring protected but hanging a decent choice of trouser on top.

Yes thats them. Appreciate the info on other brands of jeans but Im also liking the fact you can wear them with any pair of pants or jeans.

A bit pricey at $260 or so Aus when you can buy the U.S Draggin liners which appear to be similar construction in terms of Kevlar for about $100 less.
They wont ship them to Australia though.

Have read a review of the Draggin liners which said they did not get uncomfortable even in very warm to hot weather

Have tried two different types of Kevlar jeans - find them heavy, hot, sweaty and uncomfortable in anythin other than cooler climate and awful off the bike. I now wear esquad jeans, (|| ESQUAD : the legendary armalith apparel ) they fit really well, feel like heavy duty jeans but unlike others are not lined they breathe well and are not hot and sweaty, these are by far the best that I have ever worn, offering high levels of friction resistance well enough made to pass as designer jeans on a night out very comfortable i wear these more than any other pair of motorcycle trousers I own. They are expensive though.

Looked at the website, they dont seem to to have a distributor in Australia or online sales. How much are they ?

Hi James I bought mine over a year ago and they are the price of a descent pair of leathers about £270. But i have just checked the online price here Esquad Strong Raw Jeans Pant - FC-Moto Shop and they are about £265 that includes German taxes (21%) which you should be free from paying so probably about £200 plus postage) here is a link to a UK site - where they are more expensive £279.00 but again once you deduct taxes etc they may work out ok. ESQUAD JEANS I know they are pricey but to me they are as good as jeans get. - when fitted with there own hip protecters you do not even know its there - the knee armour is a bit more bulky if fitted but not heavy or uncomfortable but I do pop it in if wearing them for faster long runs across countries its easy to remove once you reach wherever to camp or stay.

By the way if you e mail them direct they will probably be able to supply you as they are a small company and quite helpful and customer driven.

I have the K-pants, but decided to leave it at home and bring the zip off draggin kevlar cargo pants instead (no longer available).

I also have the sweater, but decided to have a zipper sewn in so I can wear it as a jacket.

With all draggin stuff, I think it is cumbersome and uncomfortable to wear it with their armor - often leading me to leave the armor in my panniers. Also, the pockets on the draggin stuff that I have bought are just too tight.

Also, the kevlar jeans are hot, dry slow, gets dirty quickly, etc. Still, I might go down this route again, but I am researching other options. I think cordura type riding pants with lots of ventilation zippers, removeable armor, etc, is the best route for me.

My main argument for the draggin stuff was that I could walk arround in whatever I arrive in. Now I am no longer so concerned about this.

I bought the k-pants and enjoy being able to wear them with any pair of jeans. I wear the knox knee protectors on top of the k-pants.
Have not worn them in hot weather yet.

I wore Draggin jeans across the US and in Kansas, at 115 deg farenheit, I got a terrible rash and squirmed all the way to California. Now I only wear Draggin jeans for short rides or cool weather.

I wore a pair through the southeast US during April/may and they were hot, but comfortable all the way across. Even in the Florida sun they were ok. I wore them as an alternative to Darian-lite pants over quickdry travel pants (for the rainy sections). Also they kept the "yew ain't from around here" stares to a minimum, unlike moto pants.
