No one here has one huh? This thread is old but let put in a few words. The tent aswell as the design itself is fantastic, could be bigger though. It's about 7x4'4 so it's a tight fit for two unless your cozy, decent for one but then again I like having lots of room in my tent.
I had the Velo and 2 people are able to sit under the vestibule in rain in Kermit or similar camp chairs. It's awsome, this way you can sit there with wet boots without going into the tent getting it dirty. I sold the tent because I found my old Walrus Velo, MSR bought Walrus and kept many of their designs. The velo being one of them but they changed it too much for my liking. First the main tent is a bit smaller, the Walrus is nearly 8ftx5ft, the MSR is 7'x4'4". Also the Walrus is a bit taller and the walrus has a much bigger vestibule. You can enter the vestibule with a slight crouch. The doors are much larger, nearly the entire length of the tent so getting in and out is a snap, you can actually take your shoes off, step in and still be standing tall, obviously you have to crouch to get into it after that. Here are some links with good pictures of both tents MSR Velo; three-season tent MSR Velo 2 person, 3-season tent: additional photos of tent fly http://www.advrider.com/forums/attac...1&d=1178624567 Walrus VeloDome 3 Season Tent Walrus Velodome 2 person, 3-season tent: additional photos of fly Im assuming your asking because of the large vestibule, Im putting together a comparison of all backpacking sized tents with "livable" vestibules, I'll get back to you on that.
