GLOVES
Hi There anyone out there know of a ''glove'' maker in th UK ???
|
No, but why do you need gloves made? there is such a wide variety of styles and types available, mostly made in China or Pakistan admitidly.

BKS make gloves but like their leather suits, they're very expensive - £200.00+?
Are you after summer or winter gloves, road or off-road style, with or without protection? As ChrisK stated, there's a huge variety in all styles. You should get something you like for well under £100.00 unless of course you have strange hands? I recently bought Dainese Panther summer gloves at the Bike Show, reduced from £80 to £60. Come with full protection, all black & plenty of straps etc. I also bought a pair of Frank Thomas GoreTex winter gloves for £80.00. Full protection, reflective beading, breathable & windproof with Kangaroo skin palms for abrasion resistance. What more do you need? Steve |
SUMMER; some sports bike summer gloves with hard knuckles, very protective and good feel, you can get cheapo ones but you get what you pay for. although i think if you are willing to pay £200 or more your a twat. fit is more important that the label.
WINTER; hien gericke pathan 2finger gloves. toasty warm+waterproof, but you look like a lobster and you must remember not to try giving drivers the finger. ------------------ dave |
Are there any warm weather black gloves that don't turn your hands black when it rains? I've got a pair of Bristol gloves that do this to me and I hate it. I look shabby enough when I come in out of the rain as it is. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif

Yes: I bought a pair of waterproof (like Gore-Tex) gloves at our local shop. Very warm & so far 100% waterproof. Unfortunately, made in China, I think. (I try not to buy Chinese goods, due to their human rights situation, occupation of Tibet, etc.)
You should be able to find them at your local store... ------------------ Salut from Southern France, the bikers' paradise, Peter. |
Try the Frank Thomas glovs I mentioned in the earlier posting. They are supposedly waterproof but not had the chance to confirm this 100%. I ride everyday but it's only rained when I'm at work or asleep.
There is another similar model without the GoreTex that sells for £50.00 aprox at M&P & has fewer features. They're mainly black, sand coloured Kangaro palms, wrist strap, neoprene-like cuff with a large velcro flap around that again. It states "GoreTex" on the index finger. Steve |
