Hi,

Any advice on how to clean my bike gear, it's caked in UK motorway crap.

washing machine......
 

NIKWAX tech-wash from blacks or heine gerike (often cheaper at blacks though).

Strip out the liner and protectors, zip up all the zips and close all the velcro.

Wash out ALL SIGNS OF CONDITIONER in the washing M/C tray.

Chuck gear in M/C on a low 30deg wash using nikwax.

Drip dry then when damp spray on tx-direct (again tech-wash), stinks like PVA glue.

Job done. Tech-wash cleans and tx-direct puts a waterproof finish on the surface of your kit.
