New Leathers - Too stiff and uncomfortable
Just got these quality leathers at a great price -
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...leathers-32417 The problem is that they are awfully stiff to wear!!!! I'm trying to "break them in" and make them a bit more supple by walking around the house wearing full leathers and it's like having plaster casts on! Has anyone any (SENSIBLE) ideas how to break them in other than wearing them at home????? Thanking you all in anticipation... |
Sss
Spray them with AVON Skin So Soft.
HONEST it works it is an Oil, but it soaks in VERY quickly. and makes leather supple and soft Much better than Neatsfoot oil or saddlesoap as it is non slippy when it has had a couple of hours to soak in. * TEST on a small area first. Martyn |

Is this the bath oil ? That's what Google has found anyway. Or is it something else ? I have to say I use saddlesoap but don't find it does a lot to be honest. Or rather it doesn't appear to do a lot. |

I've got police spec jacket made by Scott Leathers which was unbelievably stiff when I got it. I didn't bother putting anything on it and it didn't take as long as I thought to get a point where it was comfortable, even though it's probably not fully broken in yet.
BTW, that's cracking price that you've paid for that suit. No direct experience of Nankai myself but I have seen plenty of racers who use them. |
