Rev'it clothing
Hi,
Has anyone tried Rev'it gear? I met a guy using it and it looked good, strong as well! Has anyone here had anything to do with it? I see that you can't get it in Oz but Singapore and NZ has a distributer. Cheers Ivan |

I did UK-CapeTown last September-this feb (think inland desert in Mauritania, rain in the UK and France, humid jungle of Cameroon) . I took the Rev'IT 'OFF TRACK' and I can't speak highly enough. I still wear it to commute to the city everyday since I got back too. It even survived 2 dry-cleans 'african style' which took out some of the red dye but all the zips still work, nothing has ripped off and the only negative point is the inside of the legs on the trousers at the bottom (they aren't tough enough and need leather patches to stop them catching on my off-road footpegs and wearing through). Girly-hand sized pockets on the jacket too, if I'm knit-picking. Love-it.:thumbup1: |

I bought my wife both the jacket & pants and she literally lives in it when on the road. She loves the zippers and the ability to vent it quickly. Cheaper than the BMW suit, but offers almost the same features. Money well spent. |
I bought a pair of Cayenne Pro trousers recently and wore them everyday on a 2 week tour of Scotland, I returned the them when I got back from the trip as they didn’t live up to my expectations. We had fantastic weather with very little rain but when it did rain I got a wet crutch, fortunately they had a 12 month waterproof guarantee so returning them wasn’t an issue. In addition to this I found that they were not breathable enough with the removable waterproof liners in the trousers as, for me when it was warm weather my legs would get sweaty and felt sticky. Now I feel I should explain that I don’t normally wear trousers inside my riding gear and this may be the problem as there was nothing to absorb the perspiration and it felt like my legs were in a plastic bag. I suspect you wouldn’t notice this on a jacket as most of us wear at least a tee shirt under a jacket which absorbs some perspiration and eliminates the “clammy” feeling. They weren’t any worse than my old riding trousers (which stopped even pretending to being waterproof about 5 years ago) but as they were relatively expensive I decided to return them because the whole point of getting new riding trousers was to stop getting a wet a*** when it rains. I have since bought a pair of Gore Tex trousers (I paid a lot more for them but they did come with a 5 year water proof guarantee) they are comfortable when it’s hot so it’s all good so far.
