Spain/ Morocco in November

Me and a couple of mates have planned a trip to Morocco via Spain on our bikes for a bit of overland fun. The trip was originally planned for September this year, but due to work problems we now are faced with doing the trip in November. Can anyone tell me what weather will be like in Spain and Morocco for riding at this time of year (including High Atlas) and also what hours of daylight will be like? Cheers.

Hi

in November relativly warm at day time (07.30 to 18.00) about 20C at night colder about -1c to 12C this in Spain, in Morocco a little warmer during the day and colder at night.

Interesting, so do you think I should take a 4 season sleeping bag for Morocco in December/January? Originally planning on taking a light 3 season bag but if it really is going to be minus temps at night maybe a bulkier but warmer bag would be better? Apreciate opinions, cheers.

Matt Cartney,
We did Tunisia last year over Christmas, went down south. The first night that we camped we had frost on the inside of the roof tent.
Yeah it can be cold at night.
Going back again this year though and camping 17 nights.

Matt

I spent last Xmas night in the desert near Merzouga. I used a 4 season down filled bag and was warm as toast, sleeping outside on a pile of mats and bits of carpet. The main problem was rain from the previous day which had evaporated and then condensed out on the outside of the bag as the temperature dropped after darkness fell. It got down to about 1 or 2 degs C. So a bivvie or even a survival bag would have been useful. Good Luck!

Mike
