Trangia fuel (methylated spirit) in Islamic countries
 

G'day.
Has anyone any direct experience as to whether methylated spirit (AKA denatured alcohol) is readily available in Iran and Pakistan?
I'm trying to decide whether to pack my Trangia or ????

I say 'direct experience' because, with all respect to you all, I don't need to be told 'well, I would imagine it's...' because I also have an imagination!

I have not had experience in the two countries that you mentioned, but I have never had problems obtaining denatured alcohol for work purposes (aircraft maintenance) in other Islamic countries such as North Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, or Maldives.

The nuance, though, is that I was not buying it at retail, we were getting it from industrial supply firms.
