UltraLite Cot

any commnets on this (for bike traveling): [url=http://www.luxurylite.com/cotindex.html]LuxuryLite |
Yep I've got one - brilliant bit of kit and far better (IMO) than thermarests and expeds as it doesn't puncture. Stash your stuff underneath and that stops any cold air coming up from the ground and of course gives you more room. I've used mine throughout Africa, Europe and Asia and wouldn't travel without one now. A good sleeping system is key to a good trip.
Folds down small, is light and easy to carry. :thumbup1: |
When I'm not using my Hennessy Hammock, I camp with the LuxuryLite Mesh cot. Very comfy, if a bit fiddly to assemble (especially inside of my tent). I weigh 210 pounds, but so far, it appears to be holding up well. I use the LuxuryLite Mesh cot for structural support, and an insulated air mattress on top for insulation. It's all reasonably compact, too.

BTW where to buy these cots?
(any place in europe to avoid costume fees?) thks |
I have one, and it is comfy, much better for me than any self inflating job so far. I don't stay still when asleep, and its a bit narrow if you sprawl, the side tube is hard on my knee how I normally lie in a kind of recovery position. You do need some sort of insulation under you if its cold. The feet are quite small with regard to possible damage to your lightweight tent ground sheet, but the instructions suggest you can put it on the floor under the ground sheet if you want.
Some more reviews here High Tech Cot - Sleeping Bags & Pads - Campsite - Camping :: Aerostich/RiderWearHouse Motorcycle Jackets, Suits, Clothing, & Gear Quite pricey though, especially with the custom fees etc added in :( |
Go-Kot
I have something similar called Go-Kot. It sets up quick, is comfy and you don't have to be so picky where you pitch your tent.

hello
thanks.I didn’t know the go-cot. It's very similar to the military one that I currently use. (15UKP) The main problem with these is that they are not easy to take in a motorcycle because of the big poles.... bier |
