When the velcro doesn't work anymore...
 

Just a tip.

The Velcro at the collar of my HG Tuareg vest just didn't hold anymore. Wich is understandable after 30.000km.

I bought a couple of 'press-studs' that you can easely place yourself. And placed them on the collar. Didn't even have to remove the old velcro. By placing one male-end one one side and several female's in line on the other side (can't really think of an other of explaining it) I can still adjust the collar.

It is a very cheap, quick and sound way of repairing velcro problems. Also the press-studs are light and small. So you can easely find a little place to take some spares with you on a trip.
Just make sure that you buy big enough ones.
