Anyone has a contact in Costa Rica to ship a vehicle back to USA?
Looks like I may ran out of time to drive our Land Cruiser back.
So I am trying to find a good connection to see if I could ship it back to the USA. If anyone knows an agent in San Jose, would you mind sharing? thank you! |
I see no one has answered your question in the last day. The main port in Costa Rica is Puerto Limon on the Carribean side. The only contact I see for shipping cars in a container to Miami is from Lonely Planet's site where they suggest:
Another option is to ship a car from Miami to Costa Rica. For specifics, contact Latii Express International (in the USA 800-590 3789, 305-593 8929; Ship Car Costa Rica | Cash Advance | Debt Consolidation | Insurance at Latiiexpress.com). I imagine the same importers might know of a local freight forwarder to handle shipping back to Miami. I would suggest also contacting anyone in the local HU community to see if they have ideas. Most locals probably don't ship cars to the US, but maybe they will know someone who can help. I would offer to drive it back, but your vehicle has too many wheels for my taste. (Just kidding). Best luck, John Downs |
try googling freight consolidators, there should be a few from Limon to Miami or Panama City if you can make it that far.
