Driving Time to Belize Border from US?
 

Hi,
Just wondering how long it takes to drive to Belize from Texas. Looks like about 4 days on good roads. Anyone offer any different opinions? Also, it it easy to get hotel accomodation with secure parking on the way down?

It can be done in four long days, but your going to wish you went slower though, there is a lot to see on the way.....

You didn't say where in Texas you are leaving from, that makes a big difference. I rode a Suzuki DR350SE from Tehuacan (south of Mexico city and just west of Veracruz) to Brownsville TX in 16-1/2 hours. From Veracruz to the Belize border is a pretty fast, easy 630 miles. So I would say that it could be done in two days... somewhat hardcore but not really difficult.

Welll, we drove from Orange Walk Belize to Villahermso in one day and then from Villahermso to Brownville in one long day.

Not recommended unless you're crazy. :-) BTW, we were in a convoy of four Land Rovers and had enough light power to really light up the road.

Motorcycle? Forgot-about-it... three or four days to be safe.

It's 1300 miles from Brownsville, TX to the Belize border.
I've done it in 3 days, but would suggest figuring on 4 to be safe. Especially if you do not want to travel at night.
2 days in early summer would be possible, but that's maxing it out.
