Guat - how long do they give your vehicle?
 

Hi all, we{re heading into Guatamala from Chiapas in about a weeks time and just this morning were a little delayed to read we might only be given a month for our vehicle (we{re driving a land rover 110), whereas we{ll be given 3 months for ourselves. Anyone know if this is still the case? we{d hoped to stay in Guat at least a couple of months for more much needed language school.

Spanish school in Guatemala is a good choice.

Yes, they will "usually" give you 30 days for the vehicle. But, you might "try" to see if they will give you more time at one of the less popular border crossings.

The other alternative, take Spanish school in Peten and pop across the border to Belize every 30 days for a weekend in San Ignacio, or go to the beach, and then come back. All you need is 3 days outsite fo GT and then you are renewed and the vehicle too.

If you ever know of anyone in the area of GT looking to sell a bike, am interested. An old BMW airhead would be nice - but will consider just about anything.
