Hoy No Circular Mexico City
 

Anyone know the current 'Hoy no circular' restrictions for motorcycles in Mexico City? I'm getting conflicting reports ... some say restrictions are the same as cars, other people tell me the restrictions on bikes have been lifted. I'll be entering the city on a motorcycle plated in Quintana Roo. Thanks

Motorcycles are exempt from the Hoy No Circula rules .
Even so you will probably get stopped by some cop who will try to get a mordida .
Just stand your ground , don't pay , waste his time and point out to the officer all the vehicles zipping by with supposedly prohibited -number endings .

Being the rainy season now I would imagine that the precipitation and atmospheric turbulence make xceptoonsl conditions improbable

Thanks Sjoerd . . . arrived in MC early this afternoon. Traffic was terrible and it took us over 2 hours to get from the outskirts of the city to downtown. No problems with the cops anywhere. Most of them were sheltering in their cars or under awnings, keeping dry and engrossed with whatever they were doing on their smart phones.
