importing a motorcycle into Belize
 

Hi all,

For a variety of reasons - mostly of a financial nature - I intend to spend quite a lot of my 'pre going senile' retirement living in Central America with my motorcycle.

It looks quite easy to enter and remain in Belize, I hold both Australian and British citizenship, but I think the motorbike temporary import might limit how long it - the murdercycle - can stay in the country.

Has anyone else tried to stay in Belize for a longer period? like 6 or 12 months?

Is it possible to pay import duty to negate the need for the temporary import permit?
