train transport for moto in mexico
 

Is it possiable to put my motorcycle on the train in mexico. I would ideally like to move it from US border to the Mexico City Area. I don't have tons of time and would like to start the riding farther
south.

Don't take this the wrong way please, but I would bet it is less hassel and ultimately faster just to bite the bullet and ride down to Mex.DF.Trains in Mexico are set up for bulk cargo and stuff just like the USA.Hardly any passenger service other than commuter lines and the odd tourist route( Copper Canyon)
If you have already searched the web and come up dry how much luck can you have here.You will have to go thru international movers and see about getting the bike on a load going there.But with all the prep and lead time, waiting etc.etc. I can't see it being very quick. Go for it, enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the info on the train system there. It will be a good ride anyway. I'll just give my self a few more days.
