Visiting Cuba from Mexico Without Bringing M/C
Hey guys,
I'm planning a pan american trip for this coming summer, and I'd like to visit Cuba along the way. I just realized I might have problems flying out of Mexico to Cuba since I would have temporarily imported my bike to Mexico at the US/Mex border. Has anyone tried this or have any insight as to how I could do this? Thanks! |
Not a problem. Once the Mexican government has your deposit they're fine with whatever you do for the duration of your permit. Fail to clear the TIP within the allotted time and they'll confiscate your money and forbid you to return.
If I were headed back to Cuba, I'd go there right now--before the scheduled flights from the States crank up. Waiting for summer just means excessive heat (think southern Florida during summertime, but worse) and ridiculous crowds. Or: wait another year or two for a true ferry service so you can bring your bike. Hope that's helpful. Mark |
Thanks a relief, thanks Mark!
