Room for one more?
The swagbag looks like a tall bivibag which can weigh probably one tenth of the swag version (judging by the look of it in the pics) and certainly comes in a much lower tent shape overall - single skin, goretex or other material, light as a light thing, with or without a pole.
Anyway, you guys certainly like to keep your distance from one another when camping - in the UK, the space between your tents would attract another 1/2 dozen or more :rolleyes2: |
Yeah the swag is definitely a bivi with extra bits - I've had a good look at other one man options - and there are certainly lots out there that pack up smaller, are made from more modern materials and probably only take a fraction longer to erect.
In fact I had a good look at this Vango Nitro 100 Vango Tent Information I'll be road testing the Swag in a couple of weeks time - and I may get my hands on the Vango to - it'll be good to do a straight comparison. Andrew- yeah my camp friends try to pitch as far away from me too! |

A couple of mates have used bivis and although they are heaps lighter and pack much smaller they have reported major problems with condensation. LOL,we have plenty of space over here and don't need to keep close to each other to stay warm, besides if you snore as bad as me no-one wants to camp near you anyway:(:lol2: |
