Crash bars for F650gs?
Hi, could anyone recommend a good brand of crash bars for the F650gs twin?
The BMW ones appear scanty to me. The Givi bars look like I would be hitting my knees on them all the time. The SW-Motech bars seem like the best choice. But that's having only seen any of them on the internet... Could someone please give me advice from your experiences? Thanks, Troy |
Have a look at Holan Pro.

How do these look? I can take a better picture tonight because they are sort of hard to see in this one. |
I have the Givi bars, see post #23 on ► Bashplates, crash bars and other protection - ::. UKGSer.com .::

I use Givi too. Here's a link to mine:
TwistedThrottle.com : Givi TN690 Crashbars/Engine Guards (BMW F650GS, '08- & F800GS, '08-) - Givi TN690 |
I know this thread is rather old, but here is another recommendation
Stahl-Koffer Panniers. BMW GS and GS Adventure Panniers Built to a very high standard. |
are we talking about the 650 650, 0r the 800 650?
bloody bmw....... i thought knees would be a problem with the givi bars on my varadero, looking at pictures, but in reality they are nowhere near in the way. |
ah, my linky was for the 650 twin. Stupid names!

My wife & I are going to try the SW Motech bars. After a fair bit of research (and a good experience with the brand on my R1200R) I'm fairly confident they will work well, and Twisted Throttle has been great with other purchases in the past.
