front and rear ruck sacks?

Hi - I've never liked the thought of keeping my paperwork in my Rucksack as I cant see it and was wondering if anyone makes a duel sack - one side that sits over your chest and the other side in the normal position on your back . I'm looking for something that is connected together although dont want anything too big - the front part just needs to be big enough for documents/money

Many thanks

Rob

I've used small front racks that fit over the headlamp specifically for this reason - so I can keep an eye on the rucksack with all the paperwork in it.

When I stop I take the key and the rucksack with me. I've never liked wearing rucksacks, even small ones tear your shoulders off by the end of the day.

I use a small hip pack connected to the pack straps. It can also be fitted to the handlebars.

Errr think the original poster is talking about a person .. not on the vehicle..

Most backpackers use a money belt for teh improtant stuff..

On the bike I use a tank bag ... it doubles as a very small day pack .. that you can mount to your cheast .. leaving the back for a larger back pack .. they are not connected ..

Thanks for the replies - I am looking for a small rucksack as opposed to bum bag which I just cant get used to. I dont want anything thats strapped onto the bike as I would need to take it off everytime I left the bike ( even for a few seconds ) and also I know I would be looking at it all the time whilst riding to make sure it hadnt flown off!

May just buy a small rucksack and mount it back to front :-)

All the best

Rob

If your looking for a rucksack that can't be opened when it's on your back try Crumpler bags. Good quality Australian gear. The zip access is on the back.

Thanks for the replies - found eBay UK Shop - MILITARYSTOREUK: COMBAT TROUSERS, HUNTING REALTREE, T SHIRTS AND SHIRTS on Ebay who do a number of combat jackets which could possibly do the job - especially the one with the 1.5 ltr water bladder - however I would want to buy one with a neutral colour as not to attract too much attention!!

All the best

Rob

Hi Rob

Before now I have carried documents in the pocket for the armour in the back of my jacket, wrapped in a plastic wallet.

Alec.

I carry my docs in a pants pocket. :)
