Ive got a Hien Gericke tank bag, with zip off panniers.
Go the set from my brother, who got them from ebay. Pete |

I also bought a set of saddle bags, tied together with pair of adjustable welcro straps. First strap goes in front of windshield, second across tank, and secured with bungie straps to roll bar of my PD. Plenty of room for knees, also wind protection.
Here is my bike fully loaded. -=Stipe=- |
Bike Butler
For holding your water while driving in hot areas, this may be a nice solution. The Bike Butler (Butler - The Extreme Mug Holding System by Glass Act)
I saw a couple of them on a GoldWing rally but I'm sure they'll fit other bikes too. At that rally I talked to the people who made it and they are bikeriders too so they know what they are talking about. |

Modification for Touratech tank panniers
FYI
We have a set of the Touratech tank panniers and are looking at modifying them by attaching a piece of velcro on the side of each pannier and then having the matching velcro loop over the top of the tank joining the two panniers. The idea being to take some of the stress off the zips and the stitching on the panniers. We did not have them packed with a lot of heavy items but found that one had a small tear in the corner not long after starting our trip. It may be an option for other cloth panniers as well Ian J |
