I agree that an electric pump is better due to the effort required but they are bulky. I have an R80GS and bought a bmw pump which is essentially a super strong bicycle pump. It takes a hell of an effort to fully inflate a tubeless tyre but it does have the advantage of being totally reliable and can be stored inside the frame tubing.

I used one of these, but then my tires only need 40PSI to seat and approx 22 PSI for normal operating.
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._SL1200_.jpg 260g and max 160 PSI. It's a good compromise between a hand pump and a dedicated food pump. I found it okay given the low frequency of flats I had (four or five in 32,000k). |
