"GPS based emergency call device"
Hi,
sorry for the rather comlicated subject, but unfortunately I do not know the name of that device (that is part of my problem...). I was told several times that in Australia you can buy that device. In case of serious problems, just press a button and an emergency call will be send via GPS-Satellites to some call center (or whatever). Since GPS-based, such device should work worldwide, right? I am looking for some information on where to get it, preferably in Europe (Germany) - and how to call it as well http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/wink.gif Regards Lars [This message has been edited by Lars (edited 17 October 2004).] |
It's called an ebirp. Do a search for ebirp and you'll find the info.

EPIRB - the later digital ones - any good 'ship shop' ships chandeliers? should have them - they are pricy ... and not all countries in the world will do something about one going off in their neighbourhood. You may be better off getting a gps and a sat phone - that way you can get them to bring what is needed and know when they may arrive.
