Hepco Becker engine guard for BMW R1150GS
 

Does anyone have any experience with the Hepco Becker engine guard for BMW R1150GS silver???? I just got my 1150GS and starting to outfit for the big trip so any feedback on this would help.

Dont have them myself. But I can tell you that they are the only ones that actually protect the engine. A bit fiddly to fit apparantly and makes valve adjustment a little bit more tricky (have to slacken off bars). but they do there job, unlik ethe original BMW parts.

Have you considered Stanton Head Guards?

They're made in the US from heat treated cast aluminium. A bit pricey is you're outside the US but worth it, they stand up to accidents very well. Mount in the same way as the stock plastic guards.
