Leatherman, have had a PST2 for years, saved me many a time. So I thought it was time for an upgrade and bought the Wave. And now I carry my PST2 with me every where, it is small, has good screwdrivers compared to the Wave and has everything I need. And the Wave lives in my backpack.

Leatherman warranty

:eek3: I have a leatherman Super and it works a treat. but a little bird also told me if you ever damage them send it back and they will replace it for free. Has anyone tried this ?

Leatherman Warranty

I busted the fine screwdriver on my PST2 recently, sent it in and they replaced the broken screwdriver no problems, even cleaned it, it looked like new. Not bad for a multi tool bought 8 years ago.

When will the imagination run dry for Multi-Tools? :)

Probably never. As posted earlier, just get a good brand.
I've been a Gerber fan, but Leatherman also pops the cap off.

Leatherman!!

I've had teh original leather man that I received as a 21st birthday gift 17 years ago. I don't leave home without it ever!

I purchased the "fancy" titanium Leatherman, the Charge TTi, about a year ago. It's been a great tool, and I always carry it in my riding jacket. I like the fact that it's a bit lighter (being titanium) and the handles are substantial enough to get a good grip on. I see they now have one in aluminum as well; but I'm happy with my choice. :thumbup1:

Two Gerbers

I have a mat black Gerber with blunt nose pliers and the stainless ones with pointed nose pliers and locking blades. No contest for me because they came free with my job.

Thanks 'Martynbiker' great site you posted as a link (when followed to their ebay shop) for leathermans from the US (especially nice when the GBP is so strong)....

I'm currently swearing by a Leatherman Wave, following losing my Leatherman Supertool in Mozambique a few years back.... but liking the idea of the mole grip version.... mmmmm Christmas is coming, and I am due a pressie...

Great site and info; thanks all
