i use a 90ltr ortleib roll top duffle bag for a tent&chair bag across the pillion seat. it was the only one long enough to take my very large packed tent. like it so much i bought another one, to replace the topbox on the rack.

I am touring across the US on a Harley this summer, with the girlfriend coming out for the last two weeks to do the West Coast (so my bag needs to be half full for the first four weeks because she will bring 12 pairs of shoes).

Everyone above is talking about the Rack Packs - two questions:
(1) The Rack Packs and the "moto" Rack Packs are made of different materials apparently - anyone felt them/investigated to see whether the "moto" version is worth the extra £20?
(2) The Duffle version looks great as well, has a zip that can be padlocked... but it's almost double the cost of the Rack Pack... comes in a 110l size though, so may fit in more shoes than the 89l rack pack.

Thoughts appreciated!

I will no doubt need a bit more advice re. America/Harleys, but that will come in other threads :)
