Pacsafe stuffsafe 80l roll bag, anyone used one?
Need a waterproof roll bag to put my tent and camping stuff in. Tent measures 60cm, so this bag should be good option, also has the added security. Has anyone used one?

I use a Pacsafe80 mesh cover over a seperate waterproof duffle bag. I strap the bag to the bike and when the need arises I place the mesh over the bike and lock it to the frame.
I would not want the mesh on the bag permanently as I believe you would find it doing quite a bit of damage as it vibrated against the bike while traveling. |

I have used the packsafe lidsafe and it stopped some dog getting my helmet,
they left the out side bag in a mess but i sewed it back up and used duck tape for waterproofing as good as new. |
They are a great bit of kit!! wouldnt leave home with out it.

We have about 6 or 7 of their items and highly recommend them. We spoke with them at Intermot in 2006 and they are good people to deal with.

Perfect bit of kit. Mine was on all the time with no vibration wear issues at all.

Is there any reason not to put the Pacsafe stuff in say a very lightweight nylon sack?
That way it would not rub anything and also not advertise that it full of anti theft cables. The pacsafe stuff is a great idea, but doesn't it kind of advertise you have "expensive " stuff in it? thanks mary |

On the other hand, the visibility of the mesh avoids the kind of damage suffered by Jaskeane's LidSafe. The thief couldn't see the mesh until he'd damaged the outer bag. I don't think the 'expensive stuff' is an issue. Even the cheapest gear is valuable to its owner and worth stealing to one thief or another. Stephan |
