Schuberth E1 helmet
 

I want to share my experience with the new E1.

Positives:
- quiet and comfortable.

Negatives:
- under continuous light rain, water does collect on the visor from the vents, at speeds above 80kph.
- after 3 weeks of use, the adjustment mechanism for the cap packed up and it was no longer possible to do anything with this bit...
- One week later, the visor mechanism also died. The visor was no longer holding in place at any speed over 50kph and closing from itself.
- 2 days later, a pin holding the SRC collar broke, making the helmet basically useless.

Schuberth support:
I gave the dealer the helmet back for fixing. It took 4 weeks to get the helmet back. The cap mechanism and visor mechanism were changed, but they forgot to fix the SRC collar. So, back out again to Schuberth... I assume it will be another 4 weeks?

I was prossibly unlucky, but overall it was a bitterly disappointing experience with Schuberth. I would never buy a helmet from them again.

I don't find it good value for the very high cost. And I am still not able to use my hemet.

Thanks for the review. Seems to be consistent with others I've read. Disappointing, I had high expectations for this, but I'm going to wait and see if Schubert addresses the issues with a new model.
