Sidi Crossfire - size confusion
Hello!
After ridding too many kilometers in my trekking boots I decided to buy proper boots. I can get Sidi Crossfire for a good price so they will be not soooo expensive for me as they usually are on a shelf. However I can't decide which size should I get. My foot is 28cm long not narrow but not so wide. I usually wear 43/43 shoes. I tried Crossfire 43 - too narrow, 44 - a little bit too narrow where my fingers starts, length OK, 45 - not narrow but about 1,5cm longer however my leg doesn't move inside. Sidi size chart is very confusing - http://www.motorcyclegear.com/neml_i...size_chart.jpg So my question - do they stretch in time? Is it better to take a little bit bigger pair? I do not have any expireince with MX boots, so I don't know what to expect. Cheers!!! |
I'm afraid you might find that some boots just don't fit right. You may have to try a few other manufacturers to find one that uses a last that is the right shape for your foot. I have reasonably broad feet and find that the Sidi boots I've tried in the past are no good. I have found that Gaerne seem good for me so stick to those.

I have always found Sidi boot sizes to be on the small size.Usually I end up going up one or two sizes to get them to fit. They do seem to be pretty narrow fitting as well.

Thanks for your advice. I went for one size larger. After one day ride (dirt, sand, mud, water) I must say that they are fantastic!
I found that the outer layer of Lorica leather peels off a little bit where the outer plastic shell moves near the joint. Do you have the same? |
