touratech camp/tent lites?

anybody tried either their LED dog bone small lite that plugs on long line direct to mx battry or their bigger self recharging and expensive! one that plugs to mx batt? would either of them suck to much out of a klr's system?

Hi there,

I have the Touratech 12v dog bone looking led tentlight, and while it´s not super super bright, it´s perfect for the tent, or even setting up camp at night.

The drain on the battery is virtually nothing, the idea being you could leave it on all night and not really worry about it.

Trouble is, I havn´t used mine since leaving Argentina / Chile, as I havn´t been camping since then....

Cheers

Jeremy

hi mate, see "tent lighting" in the CAMPING EQUIPEMENT section to see peoples thoughts on this bit of kit.I will say however, that their accessory plug socket gizmo is a good idea, its a cigar lighter type socket that lets you run most auto accessories with that type of plug(assuming cigar lighters in US cars are the same as Euro ones?)
also, try hein gericke, if youve got them in the states, german quality but affordable for once!

touratechs products are high quality, and it's cool to have a simple way to plug into the bike.
for info on other LEd light options check out

I agree with nobby. Get both.

I have the TT Chala lamp, an older one that I put halogen bulbs in. Works good and has lasted for years. I also use a Petzl Zipka
LED lamp. It's nice to have both, I usually leave the TT hooked up to the bike for night time reading in the tent and use the Petzl for excursions into the bush.
