classic question, wich tires for trip?
If we wonna ride around Syria and Jordan 'freely'. Should we go on knobblies or semi-knobblies?
I know in Marocco it is worth to make sure you can ride on dirt roads / soft roads with no concers. There is great stuff to discove. But what about Syria and Jordan? |
Treat Syria and Jordan like Morocco.
There is a lot of Asphalt to use and in Syria it is more hard baked Desert, so full knobblies not really required. Take Care riding in Syria -especially Damascus - there are many accidents and everyone drives 'In'sh Allah' If you know what I mean.... Jordan, again lots of good Asphalt and hard tracks - the only time you will need Full knobblies is around Wadi Rum - lovely soft sand- and a great country. Enjoy. Hmmmm, so if we can live with the idea that we wont race around the sand in Wadi Rum alround tires should do.
Gonna have a look at that tire survey now if that can help me out to make a choice. |
