Good handlebar grips for touring
Can anyone suggest a good replacement bar grips ?
The stock ones on my XT600 are hard, uncomfortable and offer no shock absorbsion at all... Im after some softer, more ergonomic grips which will last 20,000 miles. Thanks in advance, ed |
i have some competition enduro grips on my XT600E, they are superb. they are made of stuff that gets grippier the wetter they get, and really take the strain out of holding the throttle open for hours at a time, i never liked the idea of cruise control.
they are available in different compounds, the downsides are they were quite expensive for grips (but worth it) and they wear out quite fast because my ones are really soft. cant remember what make sorry, the pattern has long worn off! for 20K miles you might have to look at sportsbike or tourer grips, but.... something else to consider when getting grips, i have OEM heated grips on my triumph and they are very fat, they get uncomfortable to hold after a while. dont know why they made them like that because everyone elses (except BMWs) seem to be regular size. so dont get grips that are too chunky, they look comfy but are tiring after a bit |
