whats the best chains and tyres
I am looking to equip a Triumph Bonny, and want to equip it with tough, quality kit. What are the best quality chains available, cost no problem, and the best tyres for an overland trip to Oz from the UK.Are tyres available on the way, or is it best to forward some to pick up along the way?

Well a quick thought: I am no Bonny expert but a lot of people "swear by" the DID X ring chain.
You can do a search in here for "chain" and you will see what I am saying. Tyres; don't know what sizes you have, but check it out. Very personal decision IMO, dependant on what type of riding you will be doing - on or off road. Rossi likes and recommends Bridgestone! Again, do a search in here; a lot of stuff is written about tyres for particular bikes when it is actually pretty generic information that applies to any bike. Finally, you can try posting in the Triumph tech forum as well as here! |
I agree with Walkabout: DID is said to be a very good choice. You could try also Regina, it's another good brand.
