XT 600 Panier Problems...
 

Hello again...
I am soon (hopefully) to off on a trans Africa. On my last trip I travelled with a set of alu panniers that i made- these turned out to be the bain of my existance as their frame broke and I think they were set to far back causing heavy handling in sand. I have an idea or 3 about how to improve my design, but would love to hear how others have succesfully attached their panniers to a Tenere.

Not on a TenerŽ (but in past I used the same system with satisfaction) I made for a DRZ an aluminium frame for supporting the baggage - used alu bar of 25 X 10 mm. because the bar will bend in case of crash instead of cracking..here You may see some images :
