4x4toyota hilux without modifications ok to asia?
 

Hi, we`re planning a trip from Germany back home to NZ. We were considering bikes but are concerned about lack of experience so the other option is a standard diesel toyota pick up with a 75? litre tank. It`s a 95 model, a little beaten but mech in good nik. Because we haven't won lotto yet we`d like to modify it as little as poss, it's got a canopy and we'd set it up to sleep in and hold gear for cooking etc. The question is:? Good enough? Shocking idea? Any info would be great.. Cheers,

IMHO the vehicle should be ok as long as it is mechanically sound - ensure the suspension is up to the job

If you can afford only one modifiation then upgrade the suspension to Old Man Emu. You'll be glad you did after a few ks.
