Bottle Jack for a Defender axle?
 

I would like to buy a new bottle jack for my 110 Defender.

All normal jacks I see have a small round piece of metal that pushes up against the Defender axle which seems likely to slide out if the earth shifts a little or you whack the landy a little.

Has anybody come across a bottle jack or adaptor that fits the Defender axle better?

The Discovery 1 and P38 Range Rover (that I know of, may be other models as well) both came with a bottle jack as standard with a cradle to go under the axle tube. Normally a few available on ebay or various landrover forums.

I have one of these. They can come up a little short if you have bigger tyres but they are great and can usually be had for cheap.

The ones from a Mercedes Sprinter have a cup shaped top which work very well on the chassis and axle of a Defender, good height extension too. I bought mine from eBay for about £30+ I think.
