Broken Land Rover disco 2
Hi guys,
My first post and it’s a help request |
Welcome.
What's gone wrong? (Fellow Disco 2 owner !!!) |
Yes, how can we help?
Another D2 owner, love my car. Also check out the forum on 4x4community.co.za, lots of info under the Landy section. |
Hi Guys,
We think it’s the CV joint, have found a guy in Bilbao that should be able to help |

Propshaft U/J or CV joint? The U/Js are reasonably easy and any garage should be able to do them. All you really need is a hammer, a drift, some circlip pliers and a vice once you've got the shaft off.
The CV joint is a bit more tricky as the front hub nut is seriously tight. Again, not hard but it's all big lumps of heavy metal. Nothing a decent workshop couldn't handle but getting the parts is going to be the time consuming element I suspect. You heading out or coming back (assuming you're UK based)? |
On our way to Portugal (hopefully!) just waiting to hear from the garage
|
It's been a few days so I hope you've got it sorted by now. If you have I hope it goes well for you and the D2 for the rest of the trip.:thumbup1:
