CHRISTMAS 2001->2002 . SPAIN ->MAURITANIE

Greetings , Travellers.
Me & my girlfriend plan to go in my little -yet trusty- Suzuki Samurai, from Spain -> Dakla ->NDB ->NCHKT-> Dakar ->(train?) NDB->Dakla->Spain during the Christmas period .
We should spend no more than 3 weeks or so .

This will be my sixth African trip , and the third involving Mauritanian border crossing.

If anyone is interested ,perhaps we could go together . Just dropme an email , to Francisco_javier_carrion@yahoo.com

cheers.

Aha!

I'm very pleased to see that I'm not the only one who drives the diminuative Samurai!

I took mine from London - Spain - Morocco and back October last year. It's surprisingly comfortable on such a long drive.

I have some pictures that are nearly ready for the web (yes i know it's been nearly a year) from Morocco.

Good luck.

Don't forget Ramadan starts late November this year.

Actually i'm about to sell my Samurai, having opted to buy a Suzuki Jimny (new) in a few days. It's small but I usually travel alone to do photography so that doesn't bother me, but I would need something bigger for a trans Sahara crossing in a few years time.
