Fridge Wanted
 

Hello, looking for a smallish Engel or Waeco fridge freezer.

What sort of size are you looking for. ?? 15ltr or 32 ltr.

The smaller the better really, was looking at the Engel 15 litre and the Waeco 18 litre.

I can get new Engel or Waeco at a good price give me a call 01273-512400. I have an old secondhand Engel 32ltr for sale.

I'm very happy with the Waeco
does the job more then well

Engel is 30 to 40% more expensive over here then Waeco

Which Waeco have you got? I have the waeco COMBICOOL 40, but have yet to test it in anger. My one concern is that it will only go down to 30 below ambient temp, which in extremely high temps might not be enough!

I've bit the bullet and bought a new Engel.

Ollie, I had a Waeco Combicool - it worked pretty well and for £30 on ebay was a bargain. Not in the same league as the better Waecos or Engels though. After a great deal of abuse eventually it broke on the piste, but it was old to start with and not well lashed down.

roughed and cools very well even in 35°+ outside temps

and doesnt drain the battery too fast like some others do

Hi. I am researching 4 x 4 fridge-freezer options for a friend in Northern Mali. He wants a small, (20 Litre max) fridge, 12/240 V +gas, with a thermostat, for use in the space between & behind the driver/ passenger seats ...
I want to be able to recommend one to him, but I can't seem to find exactly what he's looking for.. (Maybe cos of my bad searching, but hey, I knows nathin' 'bout these things!....)
Can anyone recommend a fridge to those specifications, please?
Has anyone experience of sending a fridge to West Africa ? What's the best way ? Can it be bought on-line and sent/ delivered directly from the retailers, same as buying stuff on Amazon etc., ?
