Iveco 40.10 4x4 help please
Hi everyone
I am looking up information on the internet for a good friend who is dyslexic. He has recently bought two Iveco 40.10s 4x4. One an ex mountain rescue vehicle now a tipper truck for his tree surgery business and the other a "classic" and ex environment agency vehicle he wants to make in to an overland camper van. At the moment he is struggling to find anyone to speak to in the UK who has any knowledge of this vehicle. Even Iveco don't seem to know much. Does anyone know of any experts that he could bounce some ideas off? Best Regards Will Walton :thumbup1: |

Thanks for that Spooky
I shall pass Kevs number on. My friend finds it frustrating trying to read the reams of type on the internet. There is so much. The Hubb has been a fantastic source of some good info. Cheers Will |
There are several people on the hub with Ivecos including myself. I have an ex environment truck that I am converting, I haven't got any further than sorting out the chassis and running gear but if I can be any help I will. Your friend can call me if he wants.

i've got one !
Hi
About 18 months or so ago (probably nearer 2 years now) We bought one of the 'ex RAF MountainRescue 35-10 ivecodaily 4x4 s (essentially same vehicle as the 40-10) I spent 4 months doing a full (low cost ! / simple !) conversion. Then set off round the world ! Am now in Valdivostok and still going strong (even after rolling the truck in Mongolia !) 26,000kms and 2 continents !!!! heading now to Korea then Mexico. drop me a line and if I can help with any words of wisdom (or "mistakes I made" maybe !!!) then I will. Bear in mind my internet access is somewhat limited ! Phil. www.travel.uklinux.net |

40-10 and Super 10
Hi Guys, fairly new here but have both an Iveco 40-10 and a Yamaha Super Tenere!
Looking at combining the two for some long distance fun one day. Has anybody changed the gearbox on the 4x4 Iveco.? Mine wont drive in high ratio and slips out of gear quite a bit in low. I have a secondhand gearbox but I've never taken this sort of thing on before. (I think its the gearbox thats the trouble although I guess it could be the transfer box?) My local Iveco dealership are useless. They had never seen a 4x4 version before and when I asked them for a timing chain tensioner they looked at me like I was stupid. They think they all have belts - despite me having the broken part in my grubby palm (now sorted). Steve |
I have taken out and put back the gearbox on mine,to change the clutch, with the help of a Iveco mechanic mate. we had all the tools and a pillar lift. I would like like to do it on my back! although not impossible it would be tough. I can ask my mate what he thinks might be the problem with yours.
my local dealership had also not seen one, they are rare. Maybe you can be a bit more specific, speeds, milage etc. Graeme |
Parts sources for Iveco Daily 4x4s?
Greetings, all. Hope it's not too late to jump in on this thread with a related question/request. Can someone recommend vendors of spare parts for the Iveco Daily 4x4? Specifically, I'm looking to have a set (or two) of steering rack tie rod ends mailed to me here in the U.S.
Thanks in advance... Shaun Folkerts Pennsylvania, U.S. FiatLancia2 at yahoo dot com |
You should be able to get the parts at any Iveco dealer, they are standard vehicles. just give them your chassis number. search for Iveco dealers near you on their global website.
