mechanic in belgium?
does anyone have a recommendation on a good mechanic in Belgium (Brussels, preferably)? i'm looking at buying a LandCrusier in Brussels sight unseen (i'm in california) for a sahara trip i'm doing in november, and i need a mechanic to check it out and do any modifications.
thanks. |
tmborden,
You may try these guys: http://www.4x4shop.net/GB_WebSite/dirks_4x4_shop.htm Or try the Landcruiser specialists next door (in NL): All American Imports Veerweg 6 Kaatsheuvel The Netherlands, Europe Voice: +31 416 540167 Fax: +31 416 272304 sales@all-american.nl ------------------ Roman (UK) www.overlandcruiser.info |

That's not really next door, or is it? Another dutch specialist/wizzard : http://www.wheelsunlimited.nl Maybe you could try : 4x4 VANDIERENDONCK http://www.roots4x4.com/ Based in Belgium, and seems to know what's needed/usefull for trips into the Sahara. He has a lot of experience with desert-trips, rally-raids and overland-expeditions (both doing and preparing). But it seems they are on a holiday-leave. __________ bart |
tmborden,
Can't speak out of experience since I try to do all the stuff myself on my Landrover. But I know quite a bit of folks who have experiences with garages / mechanics. I live 25 k's from Brussels. I'll ask around and get back to you. Pieter. |
Tim,
Found one. They aren't the cheapest, but the should be the best in the region. They are based nearby Betekom, wich again nearby Aarschot. About 35k's from Brussels over the highway. If this sound ok let me know, I'll have to go looking for the exact adress and phone number. Lost the paper already :-( |
that could work out. thanks in advance for the contact info.
cheers, tom |
