250US$ in cash needed to enter Moldavia?
Hello guys!
in a few weeks I am going to Odessa in Ukraine, will go from Romania through Moldavia to enter Ukraine. I read on some forums that the border ask to show that you have 250 dollars of cash to enter the country, otherwise they can refuse to let you enter the country. Do somebody know if it's true and if it's still the case? |
Moldova
Not as far as I know...... and crossed the border several times! And just waive your atm card around if asked....
Recommend you dont just transit.... enjoy the country and Chisinau! Quote:

thanks for your answer!
sadly I won't have much time to visit... |
It is that way in alot of places. Think you need to be able to prove you have $2,000US to enter Canada, the USA and Mexico I have never been asked but the law is on the books.

Hi, i found the crossings Romania- Moldova - Ukraine to be friendly and relatively fast. Moldava was very pretty. The roads to Odessa are very straight and boring lined by speed cops. Andy
