Austria border - UK citizens, covid
Hi, travelling through Germany on way to Italy, via the Brenner pass and therefore going through Austria. As we are transiting do we need a recent covid test certificate or not as UK citizens?

Following this with interest.
I hope to pass through in late August. |
Right now, you need to do a Covid19 testing, if you want to enter from GB into Austria.
This may be possible to change, but right now it is this way. But the question is, if there are some border guards. I did a trip 2 weeks ago to Italy and Slowenia, and crossed the ( closed and forbidden to non Italian and Slowenian citicens ) border there many times. But no border guards and no hassle. Here the info in german ( google translate may help ) https://www.bmi.gv.at/news.aspx?id=6...704B4B752F633D |
We took the autobahn/motorway No.12 through Innsbruck. Other than needing a vignette at €9.50, there were no checks or stoggages, got straight through to Brenner pass and Italy.
