Best route Greece to Belgium?
 

Dear fellow hubbers,

In July we (BMW1200GS driver and pillion) will be driving home, that is kingdom of Belgium and start is Athens.
From Athens there are different options:
we can drive through Bulgaria, Romenia, Slovakia, Tchechia, Germany or follow a road through Albania, Croatia, Slovenia and then back inland (Balkan states, Germany).
Romania, Transsylvania have the Trans-Fagarasan Highway, a world top for motorcycles. So that is surely on the list.

Any particular recommendation on how to drive?
Not to miss, must see routes and locations?

We are not off roaders by the way.

i can help about serbia, croatia, bosnia, montenegro, if needed any info and decided to go thru those countries

We will be just ahead of you.
Leaving Athens on 23rd June heading to the Hook of Holland, via Bulgaria, Romainia, Hungary, Austria etc.
Hope to be back in the UK around 14th July.

Include Albania it is worth it if you have the time!

Indeed, if you have the time and possibilty don't miss Albania. It's a great place!

Also Sarajevo in Bosnia Hercegovina is very nice city to visit.
