All these wonderful places to store a bike in Europe.
@Giacomo, I remember you offered your place to me a year ago I recall. Nice to hear you still have a spot :thumbup1: Currently the TDM850 is kindly stored in shed in far away north west France, between Angers and Le Mans, a little village called Durtal. It's easy for me to fly in to Paris and catch train to Angers, no problems. But, yes, a but, north west France is sooooo far from where I like to ride --- the Alps and beyond. It's no fun at all having to ride across the flat lands to get back into the hills. I am considering if it might be possible that I could store the bike somewhere closer after this year's trip (France - Italy - Slovenia - Croatia and ...) until the following year. What would be good, would be if we could have a database of people and locations and costs and time schedules here on the HUB, or have we one already? :palm: Paul In stinky hot Tasmania, where all the big forest fires are :helpsmilie: |
i store my bike in Milan with mototouring. Works well, I think it costs 50 euro a month. They will also drop the bike off/pick up at the airport, which is incredibly convenient.

bike storage database
Hi.
Really a good idea to create a bike storage database. Those travelers looking for a place to leave their bike in Bilbao surroundings (20 km from the airport), let me know. Regards. |
I can offer a dry and safe place in Bonn, Germany.
|
I second the idea of a database of available places to store bikes throughout the world.
I have secure dry insulated storage in Cork, Ireland should anybody need it. Bikes are safe, kept on a rotating trickle charger and started on a weekly basis. Close to airport, summer ferry to France is only 20 min's away and daily sailings to France and the UK are only 3 hours away. |
Anyone in Portugal, storage near Porto?
I left my UK registered bike in southern Spain and I'd like to go through Portugal during the first week of June without having to go back to the place where it is stored now because I have only 1 off-work week to travel and I want to cover some miles in Portugal, entering south and heading north, leaving the bike not too far from an airport so I can prearrange a flight to and from the UK. I need a place to store it for about 3 weeks.
Thanks. |
Besides providing green card insurance Lobagola is one stop shop service.
Our range of services cover accommodation in our B&B (Zagreb/Croatia/EU), sorting spare parts and tires, storing spare parts and tires as well, providing service (BMW, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, Yamaha, Husqvarna etc) , providing mapping and gps routing. We're located 2 h ride from scenic Alps, and also 2 h ride from Adriatic coastline, welcome to Croatia bier . One of our services is motorcycle storage for our guests and clients on yearly base. Zagreb airport has loads of connections to European capitals as well as direct flights to Canada (Air Canada Rouge to Toronto), and also Air Transat to Atlanta (USA). If you're flying from down under or NZ, you have direct flights with Emirates to Dubai and then to Zagreb, where Emirates has their base. Cargo freighting is also available, we do air freight and sea freight as well. We're one of the founders of Trans Euro Trail, known also as TET, so if you like to ride off road we're the perfect place to start your TET adventure journey across Balkans. We're buying motorcycles for our clients here in Croatia, and storing them at our storage facility (300 m2). Trickle charging and weekly starting is included in the price of storage, as are 2 airport transfers per year from our B&B. On site we have full tool set available to work on your motorcycle, and that is to be used for free (clean up after yourself is mandatory). If you need any more info from us you can check our thread on HUBB, and post your inquiry there: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...een-card-93020 Regards Dooby |
Munich Area Winter Storage Needed
Hi Everyone, happy trails! :mchappy:
Next season, September-October, I'm hoping to set my sights on a very round-a-bout one-way ride to Munich and Octoberfest bier from western France, Loire Valley, via northern Italy, Balkins and Eastern Europe. I currently have a bike that I keep stored in Tours that I'll be using. What I'd really like to do is find a 7 month storage option in or near Munich so I can leave the bike there and at the ready for when my travels resume in April. Sadly, a quick internet search hasn't been very productive. I'm really set on Munich (I know about Stephan in Heidelberg). Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance all and ride safe! :scooter: M |
Mike:
If I understand you correctly, you want to store your moto in Munich over the winter months. Just call up any moto dealer and ask them if they offer winter storage. Most do. The price varies, but I think it will probably be in the €40 a month range, based on my experience storing my moto over the winter in Switzerland. Most dealers will keep the battery topped up throughout the winter, and wash the bike for you in the spring before you pick it up. Be aware that for logistics reasons, the dealers usually require 1 or 2 weeks' notice before you pick the bike up. Michael |
Bike Storage

Hello RoadTrekker, I am searching for storage for my Triumph T100. Storage date would run from mid to late October until late March 2020. Any chance you have room? Your location is close to ideal for me as I plan to return from the USA in the Spring and spend more time in Eastern Europe. I am willing to pay a storage fee. |
Can anyone recommend a location in Sicily to store a motorcycle for about 3 months, from November 2019 to end of January 2020?

E-Bike Storage Europe
I have been searching unsuccessfully looking for places to store our e-bikes and came across this website with the same question for motorbikes. I figure they are close relatives so the same options will hopefully be available?
My husband and I live in New Zealand and wish to go touring in Europe and leave our bikes in storage for 6 months to a year each time. Ideally if there were enough options we would be able to do one way tours. I have been in contact with both Lobagola and Knopftours who are both very open to the idea. So great to have those options at least. I know this question has been coming up frequently in the e-bike touring community because of the inability to carry batteries on aircraft. Did a database of storage ever get established? |
not aware of any database, but I've left my bike with Knopf (great!), with Hanna in Spain (not sure if she's still operating), and with Motoadventours in Milan. No hassles with any of these. Ah, almost forgot Motocamp in Bulgaria. Lots of places, just have to ask around about particular areas. I stored a moto, but I can't imagine why anyone would turn away an e-bike...
