Camping in the Pyrenees - Help needed please
 

Hi All

I'm going down to the Pyrenees second week July and i'm trying to book a place in this campsite CAMPING ZODIAC / LA BARONIA DE SANT OISME -CAMARASA - MONTSEC (LA NOGUERA-LLEIDA-PIRINEU )

My problem is i don't speak spanish and everytime i phone i can't get my message across - i have written may emails (both in spanish and english) but we seem to be going around in circles.

I really need to get confirmation that i'm booked in to this place.

Can anyone help? Has anyone used this place Is it any good? my gut instince at the moment tells me not to bother as its so hard to get a confirmation.

I need a campsite near Tremp - can anyone help with that?

I have just looked at the site and it seems ok (English version) , but it did say 2002 prices! I stayed near to here last year, a very small village called Aransis, in fact so small it was not on my map or GPS:helpsmilie:

but that was in a small Casita, up a dirt track through olive and almond groves, whoaaaaaaa, I nearly booked again:mchappy: Beautiful part of Spain and Pyrenees.

Here Cottage in Sant Pere d'Aransis, Tremp, Catalonia. Holiday rental direct from owner they are English owners and very nice people:thumbup1:

I would keep trying the campsite, it is still very early season and maybe not expecting too many enquirys yet!

ps, print the small map from the second web link, it is a good detail for that area;o)

I take it you are also on the Pyrenknees-up, a few of us are just going to turn up, just as we did last year, should not think there is a need to book.

Last year we were at Llavorsi and just turned up on spec, not going to bother booking, I will be going down in my transit and taking the dirt bike in the back not sure of the dates yet that I am going or returning, meeting up with a mate who is going to join me after 'doing' the Stella Alpina in Italy the weekend before. Have you made any travel plans yet?. Fantastic riding there and a fun event.

I plan to Drive down Newhaven to Le Harve on Thursday 12th stay over night in France somewhere then over to the campsite on the 13th
Think I’m heading back on Tuesday 17th.

Are you confident we don’t need to book at the camp site?

I’m just being a worry I know…..

Sounds intersting , can you tell us more ?

I will be going Dover/Calais may do it in one hit, depends how I feel ! Don't worry we will get in somewhere, I believe the site will be NO problem, you can kick my ass if I'm wrong!!!

a Couple of years ago I went down the west coast of France ( off peage) and crossed over int Spain. then took the n260 to castlejon de Sos.. stayed at a campsitethere. just turned up, pleanty of space, all facilities 9 euros. It is not far from Tremp. the n260 makes for interesting riding :)
